Turquoise Tapestry - 16” x 16”
Turquoise Tapestry
16” x 16” Oil on Canvas, Professionally Framed
“Turquoise Tapestry” is inspired by a close-up view of a wave folding at Maracas Bay. The movement of water is slowed down and studied, revealing layers of turquoise, foam, and depth as the sea reshapes itself in real time. Thick oil paint textures were used to build a dimensional surface, giving the work a strong sense of movement and a subtle 3D quality.
Collector Considerations
Rooted in observation of the sea at Maracas Bay, Trinidad & Tobago
Reflects the shifting forms and layered movement of coastal water
Explores texture and depth through heavy oil application and surface build-up
Represents an original work that forms part of my evolving artistic journey
Carries the familiar energy of the ocean as experienced within the Caribbean landscape
